Mont Caroux constitutes the eastern end of the Espinouse mountains, in the heart of the Haut-Languedoc regional natural park. It is made up of a plateau culminating at 1,091 m above sea level, and limited to the west by the Héric gorges, to the east by the Colombières gorges and to the south by the Orb valley.
